Wagerville Tutorial

Welcome to Wagervile.com! Way more fun than truth or dare, Wagerville.com makes friendly wagers the staple of any healthy relationship. Follow these simple steps in our Wagerville Tutorial to get set up and start winning bets--after all, laughing with your friends between cold cans of ravioli beats walking away with any amount of cash.

1. Sign up. When you go to the Wagerville home page, you will see two buttons in the top right hand corner: "Login here" and "Signup." Click on the "Signup" button if this is your first time using Wagerville. Once you have signed up and started wagering, you will click the "Login here" button every time you return to the site.

After clicking the "Signup" button, you will be redirected to a form where you can fill out your contact information and begin to build your profile by uploading a photo.

2. Build your profile. Once you have signed up, you will be redirected to your profile. (If you have previously signed up, once you log in you will be able to navigate to your profile by following the button at the top right of the page.) Here, you have six tabs to choose from to build and manage your profile and wagers.

A. Profile. This page displays the profile information that you have submitted. There is a box to quickly make a wager; as well, if you look to the upper right corner, you will see the option to edit your profile or change your password (this is where the logout button will always be, too). Edit, manage, review status, and invite friends to your wagers on this page. You can also talk smack with other friends between profiles. Raise the stakes and bring it on!

B. Friends. Invite your friends from this page either one by one with the box that we provide or use one of the buttons to the right to upload friends from your email contacts. Friends are displayed in a column to the left.

C. Make a Wager. An extended version of the box on the Profile page, you can set the terms for your friendly wagers here. Select a reward, describe the wager, provide the dates for its accomplishment, pick a friend and then send your bet along its way! Remember that Wagerville is not for gambling purposes and should not be used for financial gain. We think that slices of cheese or cans of beetroot allow for more exciting rewards, anyway.

D. Wager Results. Track how you perform here! If you keep missing out on backrubs and high fives, it might be time to make some more wagers and try again.

E. Search Wager. Once you become an old hat at the Wagerville game, you'll amass quite the number of friendly wagers. Maybe your friends claim that you lost the bet about that motor oil. Search for it and prove them wrong. In fact-make a wager, first, then win it.

F. Wagerville on Facebook. This is a link to a simple template on Facebook that allows you to fill in our details and add the Wagerville application to your Facebook page. If you think it's fun on email, try it in your very own virtual backyard!

3. Wager, wager, wager! Remember that Wagerville is not to be used for financial gain. With that said, the time has come to buckle down, brainstorm, and start typing. There are wagers that need winning and you're the one to win them.
